When I was little the TV was black and white so we played outside all the time. We played croquett, badmitten (sp), baseball, at the park on the monkey bars, swings and huge slide and the merry go round. I'd go for rides with my Dad and we would go watch the boats on the bay, and get a grilled hot dog at a little hole in the wall by the water. We would ride our bikes to the library, the movies, and just down to Main Street and walk around, go to the bakery and get a Black and White cookie. We went camping at Smith's Point on LI. Oh my! why can't we ever go home again. I played with my dolls in a closet and on the front porch with a quilt and make little beds out of wash cloths. I still have my Tammy doll, my Patty Playpal, my Tiny Tears. I'm getting sad, I had a great childhood. I was so lucky. Thanks for starting this thread.
